Fourth Grade
Donna Loomis ![]() Teaching Experience: I have been teaching since 1990. A little about me: My husband and I have two grown daughters. Our oldest is married and our youngest is in college. We have three lovable Golden Doodle furbabies, a poodle, and a spoiled cat.
Where I went to college: Montana State University
Where I went to high school: I went to high school in Philipsburg and Butte. I graduated from Butte High.
My hobbies/interests: I like being outdoors- hiking, camping, spending time with family, working with my dogs, and doing yardwork. My greatest influencers: I have been blessed to have many influential people in my life that have helped me grow and kept me inspired to develop different aspects of my life.
What made me want to be a teacher: I love learning and seeing the enthusiasm for knowledge in my students.
My favorite thing about being a teacher: My favorite part about teaching is getting to spend my days with your favorite little human being. They keep me going and on my toes. What I love about teaching in Whitehall: What I love about being a teacher in Whitehall is we have a phenoninal group of teachers/staff in the Whitehall School District.
I’d like you to know this about me: I will love your child as my own. I will set high expectations for your child's academic and behavioral growth. I will hold your child accountable for what they already know. I will help them stretch and grow to meet their potential. We will observe the patterns in nature and academics that are all around us; and we will talk often about the importance of attitude and the power of "yet".
My favorite things: I love raising Golden Doodles and Miniature Poodles. Pets, especially a healthy, smart, intuitive dog can bring so much joy and fulfillmentto a person's life. I am an Air Force Veteran. I served 35 years in the Montana Air National Guard and the US Air Force Reserve. |
