My Husband Chad and I have been married for 25 years and lived in Whitehall for 21. We have 3 Boys ages 22,19 and 15.

 

Where I went to college:

MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY

 

Where I went to high school:

I graduated from Glasgow High School in 1990 .

 

My hobbies/interests:

Reading, Cooking, anything outside with my guys

 

My greatest influencers:

I had the pleasure of working with Lora Griffin she taught in Whitehall for years and has been a mentor as well as a friend.

 

What made me want to be a teacher:

Always enjoyed kids

 

My favorite thing about being a teacher:

Funny things kids say

 

What I love about teaching in Whitehall:

Whitehall is where my boys were raised. I enjoy being on campus watching all of their activities. The staff is amazing in Whitehall. I have life long collogues.

 

I’d like you to know this about me:

I enjoy working with kids and seeing the growth they make each year. I love working in a small school setting where relationships can be formed.

A little about me:

My husband and I are originally from Southside Virginia. We have been married for 19 years and have a son who will be in 8th grade this year.

Averett University - Danville, VA

 

Where I went to high school:

Chatham High School - Chatham, VA

 

My hobbies/interests:

I enjoy reading, camping, and watching/playing sports.

 

My greatest influencers:

The most influential people in my life are my family and friends. Without them, I would not be who I am today!

 

What made me want to be a teacher:

I have always loved school! A former teacher suggested I should be a teacher one day and the idea stuck. :)

 

My favorite thing about being a teacher:

My favorite part about being a teacher is the impact I have on future generations.

 

What I love about teaching in Whitehall:

I love everything about it so far!

 

I’d like you to know this about me:

I would like for my students' parents to know that their children will always hold a special place in my heart. Children are one of life's greatest gifts, so I want my students to feel safe and loved when they are with me.
