ESSA Report Card

ESSA Report Card

As required by the U.S. Department of Education and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), a report card is generated by the Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) for the state, districts, and schools. In releasing the report cards, the OPI has taken strong precautions to ensure student privacy and confidentiality are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The information and data being published on the report cards also follows the OPI’s Student Records Confidentiality Policy, which prohibits the OPI from disclosing data from student groups that are 5 or fewer in number or would otherwise reveal the identity of an individual student.
